Can you lose 8 kilograms in 7 days?

After I mana­ged to get clo­se to my nor­mal weight with the keto­ge­nic Diet in mid-2019, I res­ted on my suc­cess. I fell back into my old eating habits and negle­c­ted exer­cise. As a result, I ended up back at the same weight at the end of 2019 as I was at the begin­ning of 2019: 103.7 kg!

The­r­e­fo­re, I wan­ted to try ano­ther crash diet and came across a diet nut­ri­ti­on plan from the Ger­man web­site elle.de, whe­re you should sup­po­sedly lose 8 kilo­grams in 7 days.

Each day had a dif­fe­rent nut­ri­tio­nal focus. I did­n’t hesi­ta­te for long and deci­ded to try out the diet.

What did my diet plan look like?

Day 1 — Fruits / No bananas!

Day 2 — Vege­ta­bles / Break­fast: Boi­led pota­toes // Lots of broccoli

Day 3 — Fruits & Vege­ta­bles / No bana­nas and potatoes!

Day 4 — 10 bana­nas & 3 liters of milk

Day 5 — Lean chi­cken / fish / 8 toma­toes / min. 2.5 liters of water

Day 6 — Red meat (beef, lamb, pork) / vegetables

Day 7 — Lunch: Brown rice with vege­ta­bles / 1 pota­to / 1 fruit or vege­ta­ble juice.

Did I really lost the promised 8 kilograms in 7 days?

No! I stuck exact­ly to this plan and mana­ged to redu­ce my weight by 3.9 kg within the 7 days. The waist cir­cum­fe­rence was 3 cm less. I only did sports on two days, whe­re I jog­ged for 15 minutes.

How did the diet go?

The first three days were the worst! I found it very dif­fi­cult to get full from fruits and vege­ta­bles. Espe­ci­al­ly the first day was hard for me, becau­se the acid from the fruits has at some point star­ted to burn so stron­gly in the mouth that I got no more desi­re for other fruits. On the­se first three days I was very hun­gry in the evening. On the other days I was­n’t hun­gry and the dai­ly varie­ty made this diet easy for me. Bet­ter than having to eat the same food over and over again every day, as with an egg diet, for example.

My conclusion of the “8 kilograms in 7 days” diet

Alt­hough I was not able to lose the pro­mi­sed 8 kilo­grams (as expec­ted), I am still satis­fied with the over­all weight reduc­tion of 3.9 kilo­grams in 7 days.
The diet shi­nes with the dai­ly chan­ge of nut­ri­tio­nal focus and is per­fect for anyo­ne who wants to try their first diet and com­ple­te it successfully.
